Ingemar Pongratz is an EU expert with extensive experience in EU funding schemes. Ingemar Pongratz has a successful research background from the field of molecular biology with special interest in studies on hormonal signalling and in the effects of chemical contaminants and pollutants. Ingemar Pongratz has 40 research articles published in high profile scientific journals and has successfully supervised close to 15 Ph D students and post-docs throughout his scientific career. Ingemar Pongratz has been involved in EU proposal writing for a long time and prepared several winning proposal for different organization such as the CASCADE Network of Excellence, the CASCADE-FELLOW post-doctoral progarmme among others. Ingemar Pongratz wrote also one of the finalist entries for the EU Descartes Prize for best Collaborative EU research in 2005.
Ingemar Pongratz is a strong believer of collaborative research an has participated in several EU funded projects and has played a key role in the planning and execution of the project activities which has provided him with a deep hands on knowledge on EU funding and EU project management. including the Horizon 2020 funding scheme
Ingemar Pongratz is also very active in research communication. Ingemar Pongratz has organized and participated in several Europe wide activities to bring EU funded research results to the general public. Ingemar established also CommNet, a EU wide network of FP6/7 EU project Communicators to make sure that EU projects would received additional support for their Communication efforts through sharing of best practice. These efforts were subsequently funded by the European Commission through the ComFABNET proposal which was followed up and coordinated by Youris.com
For this activities Ingemar Pongratz was awarded the “Communication Star” prize in 2011, for best EU project Communication, in competition with many Communication business organizations.
Ingemar Pongratz is owner and founder of Pongratz Consulting, a company to support organizations and other businesses to apply and obtain EU project funding. Ingemar Pongratz collaborates with Sofia Kuhn as co-founder of Muninn Scientific, a Brussels and Stockholm based EU support function with extensive and successful background in helping clients to access EU funds and to actively and successfully communicate research findings to the non-expert community.
Ingemar Pongratz has also established Fenix Scientific AB, a company that was selected to join the Swedish Government Incubator ALMI due to its high market potential. The aim of this project is to launch a wide range of products based on on the research performed by Ingemar Pongratz. Fenix Scientific AB is currently establishing collaborations with other organizations and is preparing the market entry.
