The workshop

“Why should Life Science Industry participate in Horizon 2020”

is organized by LIF and IML.

LIF is the organization that represent the research performing Pharma Industry in Sweden and represent by Dr Andres Blanck in the workshop in Stockholm November 26, 2014.

LIF represent 85 member companies in Sweden, which together represent 80% of the total annual Pharmaceutical sales in Sweden. In total LIF members companies have employees and invest about 13 000 MSEK in research and development in Sweden every year.

 

LIF is Chaired by Robert Ström, Baxter Medical AB.

IML represent smaller innovative research companies in Sweden which perform medical research.

IML was founded in 1987 and is very active in promoting and improving the condition for SME active in the Life Science area in Sweden.

Examples of important areas for IML include regulatory issues, IPR protection just to mention a few.

IML is chaired by Dr Jan Smith and is managed by Dr Johan Järte.

IML has recently selected Fenix Scientific AB to support their EU funding activities and to obtain support to identify and apply for different sources of EU funds such as Horizon 2020 projects.
